As the Department of Education (DepEd) "aims to inculcate a culture of excellence in its delivery of quality, accessible , relevant and liberating education for the Filipino learners," it has developed its own Manual of Style (DMOS), 2018 Edition, that prescribes language style, format and usage based on The Chicago Manual of Style to be used by the department.
