Four of us just went for a quickly planned long ride to Zamboanga Sibugay, particularly at the town of Ipil for a family visit last October 31 to November 1, 2017. It was just a two-day ride from Isulan, Sultan Kudarat to Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay, with a distance of more or less 400 kilometers.
King led the group using his newly acquired Rusi Classic 250cc motorcycle, followed by Japhete and Al using Kawasaki LS 135cc motorcycle while I was with my Kawasaki Bajaj NS 200cc motorbike.
We left Isulan, Sultan Kudarat at around 6:30 am, passing by Cotabato City and stopped for breakfast in Parang, Maguindanao at around 8:30. After breakfast, we traversed Malabang and reaching the Picong Tunnel all the way to Sultan Naga Dimapuro and reached Pagadian City at around 12:30 where we had our lunch.
We still had to travel for another two hours to Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay. Taking time on the road and the conditions of the most road turns made our ride longer than two hours. We reached the town of Ipil at around 4pm already. After some picture taking and meeting Al’s family, we had to go back to Pagadian City and stay for a night before going back to Isulan, Sultan Kudarat. We arrived in Pagadian at around 9pm, took our supper and called it a day.
The next morning was another day for a long ride going back to our homebase. But before that, we had our city ride and visited significant places in the city. We finally left the place at around 8am and arrived in Isulan, Sultan Kudarat at around 3 in the afternoon completing the more or less 800 kilometers long ride.
