Rediscovering My Calling: A Reflection

Looking back on my journey, I can’t help but smile at the winding paths that have led me to this point. A few years ago, as a Marist Scholasticate, I had the privilege of immersing myself in the serene atmosphere of Cebu Center for Ignatian Spirituality located at Banawa Hills, in Cebu City, studying the art of Retreat-giving and spiritual direction under the tutelage of the Jesuits. It was an experience that left an indelible mark on my soul.
Each year, I’ve found deep fulfillment in facilitating recollections for high school students. Witnessing their spiritual growth and self-discovery has been a source of immense joy. Deep down, a quiet longing to pursue a life-coaching career has always lingered.
Now, as an ordinary layman, I’ve embarked on a new chapter. My heart is set on creating contextualized recollection modules tailored for today’s public school students, and even extending my reach to facilitate group recollections and retreats for professionals.
My vision is to bridge the gap between Asian and Western spiritual traditions, weaving together their wisdom and practices into a tapestry that resonates with the modern Filipino soul.
If my story has touched your heart or sparked a thought, please leave a comment below. Your words of encouragement and insights will fuel my passion as I continue on this path of service and spiritual guidance. Let’s inspire each other to create a world where everyone can find solace, meaning, and connection.
