DepEd Releases School Calendar for SY 2023–2024

The Department of Education (DepEd) has released the Implementing Guidelines on the School Calendar and Activities for the School Year (SY) 2023–2024. The school year will start on August 29, 2023, and end on June 14, 2024.

The DepEd reminds schools to observe the following guidelines:

• Schools must ensure that all students are enrolled and attending classes regularly.
• Schools must provide a safe and conducive learning environment for all students.
• Schools must use appropriate teaching and learning methods to ensure that all students learn.
• Schools must monitor the academic performance of all students and provide interventions to those who are struggling.
• Schools must collaborate with parents and communities to support the learning of all students.

The DepEd is committed to providing quality education to all Filipino learners. The school calendar for SY 2023–2024 is designed to allow students to learn and grow. I encourage all schools to follow the guidelines and ensure that all students have a successful school year.
